Your tour starts at 8 a.m. Saturday, September 18, 2021 in Maumee, Ohio. And it’s going to be a busy one.
Twenty-four hours; a career’s worth of calls. This training course gives firefighters the chance to experience a busy 24-hour tour of duty, complete with simulated large- and small-scale incidents.
You’ll sign up for specific positions, then work the entire shift — eating meals together, training together, and running calls as they’re dispatched.
Tailboard critiques from instructors will provide reinforcement and tips for improvement. The effects of stress, little sleep, and nighttime incidents enhances the realism.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
At the end of this training, participants will be expected to:

• Explain the relationship between types of rigs and their assignments on the fireground.
