Let Dickie & Co Do It, is a local general contractor, serving the Strafford county area of New Hampshire. Community and collaboration being core values of our company, our intent is to train a younger generation of carpenters and woodworkers through hiring and harnessing the knowledge of experienced workers within the industry. Our work ranges from frame to finish, custom cabinetry, and renovations. We are an EPA Certified Renovation Firm as well, meaning that we can and will work on old colonials and victorian houses. What are we looking for? Both experienced carpenters and green apprentices! If you’re an experienced carpenter, you would be given projects of your own to execute while also helping to train young and motivated apprentices. Your knowledge and expertise are more necessary than ever in this aging trade! Whether your skill set is broad or specialized, we’re interested in you! Besides knowledge and experience, we ask that our instructors maintain patience and a sense of compassion while training our apprentices. We all know this trade is filled with enough angry stud throwers, let’s attempt to foster a bit more professionalism and mindful detail-oriented practices in this next generation. No experience? But are you interested in carpentry or construction? Join us as an apprentice/laborer and get to learning! First you’ll learn the basics of working on a construction site, help to keep the site clean and safe from debris and hazards, and observe your mentors while being available to run materials and tools for them. As confidence and knowledge is gained, it will be up to YOU to demonstrate a solid work ethic and engaged interest, showing your mentor that you’re ready for your next step of working directly on a project. Throughout your training, you will also be paired with other apprentices while learning new skills, creating an opportunity for each of you to lend to the other’s learning. First rule for our Apprentices: Patience and Practice makes Precision. We have more work coming at us than we can schedule with our current roster.
