See below for contest eligibility and details! FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONSAre there ID or minimum age requirements to enter? Yes, you must be 21 or older to attend the party and/or enter the Metazoa taproom. You must present a valid ID when ordering drinks for yourself — or your friends. What are my parking options for the event? The majority of the Metazoa Brewing Co. parking lot will be available for event parking, but please be aware that it fills up quickly! Additional parking will be available on the street for free. Biking, walking, carpooling, or ride-sharing options are strongly encouraged as there will be VERY LIMITED parking near the venue. Can I leave my car parked in the Metazoa parking lot overnight on Saturday, July 3? Sorry, but no. Please do NOT leave your car in the Metazoa lot overnight on Saturday, July 3 as we will be setting up bright and early on Sunday morning for the party. If your car is not removed from the parking lot prior to the early morning set up on July 4, you will risk being towed. Will I be able to watch the fireworks from Metazoa Brewing Co.'s parking lot this year? It was recently announced that there will be a downtown Indianapolis fireworks show this year in a new location. The 21-minute show is set to begin at 10pm on July 4, launching off the office building at 500 N. Meridian Street. Since this is the first time the show has been held in this location, we are unsure what the view from the Metazoa parking lot will be like this year. With a great skyline view, we hope the results are spectacular but with the added uncertainty we cannot be sure! What DJs will be performing at the event? Between 5pm-10pm, we will have rotating DJ sets from Cam Miller, John Larner, Trilli, and Monstreau. What are the current mask and COVID-19 policies at Metazoa? As of June 8, 2021, masks are optional for our fully vaccinated patrons and staff in our taproom. We ask that all patrons and guests adhere to social distancing guidelines and keep at least 6ft of space between other parties/groups. We will continue to frequently sanitize commonly used areas/surfaces and will have additional outdoor seating available. What can I bring to the event? Metazoa Brewing Co. is a pet-friendly establishment so you can bring your well-behaved pets on a leash. We have a dog park on-site as well! Additionally, we encourage you to bring your own lawn chairs to the event. DO NOT bring outside beverages: we will have beer, soda, and water bottles available on-site. Old Gold Barbecue and BRICS will be on-site slingin' delicious barbecue and ice cream during the event. As always, you are still welcome to bring/order outside snacks or food if BBQ isn't for you. Why should I RSVP if the event is free? How does the raffle contest work? You do not need to have a ticket to attend the event though we encourage attendees to RSVP for a FREE ticket via Eventbrite so we have a good idea of how many people to expect. As a fun bonus for reserving a free ticket, you will be entered into our raffle contest with a chance to win (5) complimentary pints. Contest winner(s) will be selected at random and announced during the event at 3pm, 5pm, and 7pm on the loudspeaker inside our taproom. In order to be eligible for the prize, you must be on-site at the time your name is called/announced. Only one entry per person. Will the taproom remain open as usual during the July 4th party? Yes, the taproom will remain open during the event. Taproom ordering at the bar will continue as normal including mug club pours, flight service, and carryout beer. What is Metazoa planning to do about high heat temperatures and/or rain? Our Fourth of July Celebration will be a rain or shine event. If the weather is bad, we will still have seating available inside our air-conditioned taproom. Additionally, we will have misting fans on-site, lots of water bottles available to purchase, AND kiddie pools for the doggos in the dog park. PLEASE be aware of hot temperatures on the blacktop and keep an eye on your dog's needs and internal temperature! How can I contact the organizer with any questions?
