We are a band called Process of Illumination, a Houston-area band who has been active since around 2012. We have released two studio albums (YouTube links below) and played over fifty live shows across Houston. WHAT YOU NEED: • Must own at least one electric guitar with a practice amp and pedalboard (we have some songs in drop C, seven string not required) •Must be able to practice once or twice a week either weekday evenings or once during weekend, at least until we get tight enough to practice individually • Must have several years of experience playing the guitar • Must know the names of chords • Must have a generally positive attitude, a willingness to work hard, and a desire to help write music with us We usually practice once or twice a week in the evenings. We currently practice in the Conroe/Montgomery area but are considering practicing closer to The Heights. We are willing to discuss options for practice location. An audition for the band would consist of the following: • Learn two songs ahead of time and play them with the band. • Discuss your musical background and let us know more about you as a person. Although we are serious about playing live and writing music, we are also close friends and we are looking for someone who is friendly and likes to have fun playing shows.
