The Paul Wagner Quartet will play a set of live jazz on the grounds of the historic Schweikher House. Back by popular demand! The Paul Wagner Quartet will play an outdoor jazz concert at Schweikher House. For just $20 per person, guests can bring their chairs, blankets, coolers (BYOB) & snacks to the historic Schweikher House in Schaumburg and enjoy some Friday night jazz on the lawn. Parking is limited, so carpooling is encouraged! Attendees should arrive between 6:30 pm - 7:00 pm, explore the grounds, set up their chairs, enjoy a beverage, get comfortable and ready to experience live music. The Paul Wagner Quartet will play from 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm. It's going to be a lovely way to end the week! The Paul Wagner Quartet is comprised of exceptionally talented musicians in the jazz genre. Each musician has put in their dues to form a fun, sophisticated, and swinging small jazz combo! Paul has been playing the saxophone since 2007 and has been active in his school's music programs, the Chicago jazz scene, and educating young saxophone players. Paul was also an integral part of DePaul University's jazz program. During his time at DePaul, he was fortunate enough to perform at Chicago's Symphony Center and at the world famous jazz club, The Green Mill, with two separate DePaul jazz combos. His combo features some of Chicago’s best and brightest upcoming jazz musicians. The four members all met at DePaul University’s School of Music and have been playing together since 2016. The quartet will be dedicating the evening of music to the jazz saxophone icon, Joe Henderson. They will be playing his original compositions and arrangements for the evening. Paul Wagner: tenor saxophone Dylan Barnett: guitar Simon Ciaccio : acoustic bass Julian Merluzzi: drums and cymbals In the case of inclement weather, the concert will be postponed to the following Friday evening, July 2, 2021.   The Schweikher House Preservation Trust is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and is listed on both the National Register of Historic Places and the American Institute of Architect’s list of 200 Great Places in Illinois. The Trust was incorporated in 2009 to help oversee Modernist architect Paul Schweikher’s 1938 home & studio. Supporting events hosted by the Trust will help to further develop programs, tours, and outreach opportunities that promote and educate the public about the House and Studio and its former residents.  Tax Identification Number 27-1367307
