Description

Learn how to provide effective close protection skills in your faith-based environment. Close protection is a service designed to keep people safe from physical harm and other threats to their safety. You don’t have to be a bodyguard to provide these services. In fact, if you volunteer for your church’s security team and stand post in the sanctuary, or if you are assigned to monitor the children’s ministry, then you are providing close protection services. Join Michael Mann Security Services in Brentwood, TN on July 30th- 31st and learn how to provide an effective level close protection for your house of worship. Course Topics:  The bodyguard: a quick history of providing close protection services  Providing security in faith-based environments  The five principles of providing close protection in the sanctuary  Equipment considerations  Providing pre-emptive care: a review of medical response protocols  The use of surveillance detection in faith-based environments  Threat assessments: preventing the attack through deterrence and early detection  How to conduct a security survey for your house of worship  The use of force: considerations for the protective environment  The deployment and use of firearms in houses of worship Instructor Michael Mann, CPP®, PSP®, CDEP has 30+ years’ experience in physical security, law enforcement, executive protection and corporate security.
