At this Songwriters showcase, 3-4 women-identified singer/songwriters will perform original works in the round style. The Host: Amber Ikeman | www.amberikeman.com "My purpose is to create transcendent and transformative experiences through music, which is the goal of this event. It will be an opportunity for attendees see and hear themselves in the stories of the performers, cultivating connection, empowerment, healing, and self-discovery." Event Description: At this Songwriters showcase, 3-4 women-identified singer/songwriters will perform original works in the round style. The performers will switch off, playing one song each and then starting the order over again, so that they play off of each other and you, the audience, are exposed to several different artists you may have never heard before. We will enjoy tea, coffee, and snacks during the event. Come to really listen to the music and stories! This is a hybrid event! Attend in person at Sky Oro or virtually (Link will be shared with those who RSVP before the event). The Why: The goal is that attendees feeling moved, seen, and heard, more deeply connected to themselves and others, empowered, perhaps challenged by perspectives they hadn't considered before that may result in personal growth. Connection matters: We will offer a safe container for attendees to talk with one another about the themes of the songs. We could potentially also facilitate a more organized conversation if desired, such as breaking up into small groups and providing discussion questions based on song themes. Sky Oro is a women-focused coworking and community space in Bozeman, Montana. Our events support women in the workforce, whether you are a solopreneur, entrepreneur, employee, in the executive space, or anywhere in between.
