At Barrel Club you'll have the opportunity to try different spirits from a particular distiller, region, or style, try cocktails prepared with them, and enjoy a specially created pairing menu from Executive Chef Shawn Hartwig. For this Barrel Club we're celebrating Fathers everywhere with downtown Kansas City's first legal distillery since prohibition, Tom's Town. Tom's Town draws its name and inspiration from the country’s most polarizing and corrupt political boss, Tom Pendergast. Under Pendergast’s influence, Kansas City flouted Prohibition. Tom’s irreverence for federal statutes in favor of bare-knuckled local business dealings allowed his town to emerge as the “Paris of the Plains.” We'll be highlighting four of Tom's Towns best, their Double Grain Vodka, Botanical Gin, Pendergast's Royal Gold Bourbon, and their Double Oaked Bourbon.
