Celebrating the USC Price School in Sacramento Master of Public Administration graduates of 2020 and 2021 This in-person celebration for our Master of Public Administration graduates will take place at the Golden 1 Center. Graduates will have the opportunity to process across the stage, receive their diploma covers, and have photos taken. Density restrictions require graduates to have no more than two guests. Those who plan to attend should stay informed about the California Department of Public Health’s most recent travel advisory. About the Golden 1 Center Since its opening in 2016, Golden 1 Center has seamlessly blended technology, sustainability, and entertainment – becoming known as the most technologically advanced and most sustainable arena in the world. Golden 1 Center is the only certified indoor/outdoor NBA arena in the nation. Golden 1 Center has received the WELL Health-Safety Rating for Facility Operations and Management designation from the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI) as well as the Global Biorisk Advisory Council’s (GBAC) STAR Facility Accreditation. Health and Safety Protocols The USC Price School in Sacramento and Golden 1 Center have partnered together to implement an extensive set of health and safety measures based on current COVID-19 protocols and guidelines. Testing, vaccines, and health screening: Out-of-state guests will be required to show proof of a COVID-19 vaccine (showing receipt of both doses of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine at least seven days prior to the event or the Johnson & Johnson vaccine at least 14 days prior to the event) or quarantine/test in lieu of the COVID-19 vaccine. All guests will take part in a verbal wellness/symptom screening with a Golden 1 Center Ambassador prior to entering the event.Masks and physical distancing requirements: Masks must be worn at all times for all guests ages 2+. Guests will see increased health and safety measures and signage to promote physical distancing throughout the arena, including at entry points and restrooms. All seating will be arranged in a physically distanced manner. All attendees should practice social distancing (6 feet apart) unless they are from the same household.Food and beverage: Individually packaged food and beverages will be distributed to guests or families. Food and beverage may be consumed outside the Grand Entrance in the DOCO Plaza. Lunch selections are due at the time of your registration.Unpermitted items and security screening: All guests will go through Golden 1 Center’s standard security screening. Guests are not allowed to bring the following items into the arena: balloons, confetti, pocket knives, blow horns, etc.Enhanced, continuous cleaning and sanitization: Hand sanitizing stations have been installed throughout the facility. Arena staff will increase the frequency of cleaning and sanitation in all areas being used, with an emphasis on commonly used surfaces such as the microphone and podium, seats, handrails and restrooms. The Golden 1 Center team has also implemented hospital-grade disinfection technology across high traffic guest, team and employee spaces.Certifications: In preparation for welcoming guests back to the LEED Platinum arena, Golden 1 Center received both the GBAC STAR Facility Accreditation and WELL Health and Safety Rating. To achieve these gold-standard industry designations, Golden 1 Center demonstrated enhanced strategies in cleaning and sanitization procedures, strengthened air and water quality management, emergency preparedness programs, health service resources, and stakeholder engagement and communications materials.Meal Options Each meal will be packed with a salad (orzo salad w/ mint, preserved tomatoes, roasted red peppers, champagne vinaigrette), a sandwich of your choice, a sweet treat (homemade sea salt chocolate chip cookie), potato chips, fruit, and bottled water.
