3038 Capewood Lane near Fallwood Lane, San Jose CA
Description
I need someone to repair my newly-built, upstairs shower because the drainage is not working correctly and is leaking into the subfloor. I have included a few pictures so you can see the setup. I don't trust the contractor who built it to make the repairs because I don't think that he knows how to fix it.
The shower is built with the typical 5 x 6 foot gray Oatey shower pan liner from Home Depot. But, I think that the water that seeps down to the liner just runs off the liner and drips down into the subfloor. The liner generally slopes away from the wall and extends about 8 - 10 inches beyond the shower into the main part of the bathroom.
I cut away the ceiling sheetrock to watch what happens when I put a hose down the throat of the drain. And there doesn't seem to be any leaking unless the shower is spraying water all over the floor. So, I think that the drain pipe is actually draining and not leaking. The leak seems to be water falling off the edge of the pan liner onto the subfloor.
I am looking for someone who can fix it. I have extra tiles if any need to be removed and I will pay for all materials. I can pay cash. Please let me know how you would fix it and what you would charge me. Thanks.
