Small, artisan fermented foods business seeks sales person for Marin Farmers Markets. Every Saturday in Point Reyes 8:30-2:30, and Sunday in San Rafael 7:30-1:30. Pay= $120/Market + Mileage Reimbursement The Pt Reyes market is a seasonal position(now thru begging of Nov.), but San Rafael is year-round. Working at farmers markets is super fun! Lots of trading and gifting of goods, a real community atmosphere, live music, being outside, etc. Go home with loads of great food every week! We can cover a market here and there if you need a weekend off, especially with advanced notice. This is what the work day looks like: -Pick up market gear in Petaluma -drive to Pt. Reyes or San Rafael -Set-up market booth -sell fantastic products (on your feet all day, connecting with customers - not looking at your phone) -break-down market booth -deliver market gear to facility in Petaluma after the market You get allowance of trading or taking home two items per week in addition to pay. It is important to know/learn about fermented foods and to learn about our products. We are looking for someone with people skills, sales skills, positive attitude, ability to work on your feet for many hours, ability to comfortably and safely lift heavy items, punctuality, and able to commit to the entire time period.
