Includes a Fashion Show Showcasing RC CAYLAN'S Spring/Summer 2022 Collection Since the beginning of March 2020, many have experienced a horrific event known as the pandemic of COVID-19. During the pandemic tons of businesses were shut down due for their health and safety. Either they have to stay open with regulations or shut down for good. Yet, when businesses continued to stay open, they did not face a chance of giving up. The plan is to stay strong together as a community and help each other when we can. For this upcoming fall, RC Caylan’s goal is to give back to his community. Every two years, he has held charity events to create an awareness for different organizations. The last one was in 2019 at the Amway Plaza Hotel Grand Ballroom. The cause was for type 1 diabetes. As for this year the event will be on November 19, 2021 at the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel Grand Ballroom, he will be collaborating with an organization called, “Food Hugs”. This organization started on March 2021 and the founder of Food Hugs is Chef Jenna Arcidiacono. Chef Jenna created Food Hugs because she loves giving back to the community. Especially for businesses that were struggling from the pandemic. Food Hug’s goal is to feed the ones that had lost a loved one, frontline workers, and those that are having a bad day. But their main goal is to give back through the funds of the community. They have an event every Thursday called #tipbackthursday, where they were able to give back $1,000 tips to local restaurants. Over the past 3 months, Food Hugs tipped over $42,000 to those restaurants. Their dream is to provide scholarships to future female chef students. As their organization continues to grow, Food Hugs is looking forward to partnering with RC Caylan for the upcoming charity event. Having to personally experience the struggles of opening a business during the pandemic, RC Caylan’s mission is to partner up with Food Hugs and give back to their community. RC’s plan is to donate 50% of the profit to Food Hugs: “Giving Back Runway” is to ensure that the organization is able to give back to everyone that needs help. This event will bring everyone together and creates a positive atmosphere. RC Caylan’s designs are unequivocally unique and have been featured in well noted magazines such as British Vogue, Cosmopolitan Mexico, Glamour Magazine, Basic Magazine, and L’Of iciel AU and more. This year, RC Caylan will be presenting his Spring/Summer 2022 Collection and introducing Two Local Up and Coming Fashion Designers right here in Grand Rapids Beautiful Historic Amway Grand Plaza Hotel, Grand Ambassador Ballroom, fresh from the runway of Paris Fashion Week and Arab Fashion Week in Dubai. This Live Runway show will be filled with fabulousness of Fashion and Fun showcasing the newest trends in fashion, cultivated with RC’s signature aesthetic, will be benefiting "FOOD HUGS" a Non-Profit Organization by an Award Winning Chef Jenna Arcidiacono. As RC Caylan grows as a designer and finds success in his designs, which have been worn by many celebrities/artists such as Multi Grammy Award winning artists Carrie Underwood, Emmy Winner Anne Winters, Emmy Winner Child Actress Faithe Herman, Latin Grammy Winner Erika Ender, Saweetie, Carri Ann Inaba, Laura Morano, Super Model Maye Musk, DJ Kim Lee, Award Winning Country Singer Cassadee Pope and actress and philanthropist Holly Robinson Peete and more, RC and Food Hugs partnered and committed to giving back to the community, especially to those who are affected by the Pandemic. Having partnered with the American Cancer Society in 2017 for his acclaimed fashion show “An Enchanted Evening,” and Last 2019 RC was honored to have JDRF as his Beneficiary of the very succesful sold out "Type 1 To NONE:" Dinner/Charity Runway Show. Once again RC is thrilled to announce that he will be showcasing his newest collection live for this coming November 19, 2021. This exclusive limited seating event will be one night only and will surely be a memorable moment in Grand Rapids’ fascinating history that you won’t want to miss.
