RENTON, WA — Renton neighbors have another chance this weekend to offload a few large and tricky items for proper disposal during a Saturday recycling event at Renton Technical College. The latest event will collect mattresses, box springs, cardboard and tires. Only mattresses will require a fee, $15 each, and the rest can be dropped off for free.

Date: Saturday, June 12Time: 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.Place: Renton Technical College (North Parking Lot)NE 6th Pl. & Monroe Ave. NEVehicles may enter only from southbound Monroe Ave. NE Saturday's event is the second of three recycling programs planned this year at the college, funded by King County, and visitors can also bring along non-perishable food items to donate.
