Description
My dog, Sarge/Sargy, is about 8 years old now, but is described by his Banfield vet buddies as a perma-puppy (permanent puppy). Sarge loves to play and probably has more energy and is leaner than the average dog his age due to being intact/unneutered. He's cream colored and white and is about 30lbs. on average. Sarge is the type of dog that wants to meet new animals and people. Sarge is very interactive and energetic, but is not an aggressive dog overall. Unlike some dogs, Sarge is not prone to attacking strange animals or people. He is very friendly and curious. Due to his playful nature, Sarge would be great for older kids who could use a playmate or a way to help spend their energy. Sarge is a great cuddle buddy when it's time to relax and is very affectionate. I rescued Sarge when he was about 7months old and we've had a lot of fun together. I've always wanted him to have a nice yard and/or family that can give him all the attention and love he deserves. I now have a baby daughter and have to make some life adjustments (this being one of them that I'm not so thrilled about). But, if I can find Sargy the right family/owner/home, it would be a win-win, as I do want him to continue to be the happy goofball he is even if it means it's without me. Since I've owned him basically, I've had Sarge on the proactive health plan with Banfield Pet Hospital. He remains up-to-date with checkups and vaccinations including annual dental cleanings (where they sedate/anesthetize him and deep clean his gums and teeth). Sarge has one main health issue (always has since I rescued him) where he will have mild seizures about 3-4 times a year that last no more than 5 minutes. I do not have him on medication for this, as he and I have been able to deal with the seizures just fine without, although a new owner may wish to explore medication. That would be up to the new owner quite frankly. So, if you want a loyal dog with a unique and independent personality that just wants nothing more than to play, love, and be loved.. contact me. You can meet Sarge here in Rancho Cordova at the dog park within the Avion apartment complex. I would ask for no more than a $50 adoption fee (to know you are a serious pet owner and not some weirdo, neglector, etc.) Money is not my ambition here, so let's just say the most important thing is finding Sarge the next great chapter in his life. I'll be available this weekend to introduce him to suitable candidates. I had a post up for Sarge a week or so ago, had many responses, but the candidates I was hoping for already found dogs before meeting Sarge. That's OK... I got another week with him. :) We had fun, but my baby daughter takes precedence (I'm a single dad now) and need to be fair to everyone including Sarge.
