TUHSD Taps Kelly Lara For Administrative Role

LARKSPUR, CA — A local school district has filled a key administrative role. The Tamalpais Union High School District on Wednesday said it has selected Kelly Lara for its Senior Director of Student Services position. Lara comes to the Tam District from the Lighthouse Community Charter High School, a small high school located in East Oakland. At Lighthouse Lara implemented restorative and social-emotional wellness programs in conjunction with a deep focus on rigorous standards-based learning. She previously served students as director of student services for Alameda Unified School District and held other high school principal roles in both large and small schools. Lara lives in Alameda. Lara attended Fordham University in New York City on a full scholarship for track and field and completed her Master's in Education at St. Mary's College.
