WEST SAINT PAUL, MN — Two people have been arrested in connection to the fatal shooting — which police say was targeted — that took place Wednesday in Thompson County Park, the West Saint Paul Police Department announced. Despite the arrests, the department said it is still searching for the person responsible for shooting the man who died. Cartrell Nay-Shawn Turner, 22 of Maplewood, was booked into Dakota County Jail Thursday night on probable cause possession of a pistol without a permit, police said. Asiani Ra-chelle Nelson, 20 of Champlin, was also booked into Dakota County Jail Thursday for aiding an offender – accomplice after the fact, police said. When officers arrived at the park Wednesday responding to a call about the shooting, many people at the gathering fled and those who stayed haven't cooperated with investigators, police said.
