PHOENIX, AZ — A man driving a stolen Cadillac SUV crashed into a Honda Civic, a pickup and a city bus, Phoenix police said.
The crash, which occurred at the intersection of 7th and Missouri avenues, left three people dead and injured six more, according to police.
The three people that died were in the Civic, including the driver and two passengers, who were hit by the stolen Cadillac after it ran a red light at the intersection at a high rate of speed, police said.
The force of the crash caused the Civic to hit a Dodge pickup truck and subsequently a Phoenix city bus, police said.
The Cadillac continued east on Missouri Avenue from there, striking a pedestrian that was crossing the road on the east side of 7th Avenue, resulting in non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.
The crash occurred around 4 p.m. Thursday and involved five vehicles, including a city bus, according to police.
The 33-year-old male driving the stolen Cadillac was transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, with charges pending his release, police said.
