Press release from the City of Mobile Police Department: Jun 11, 2021 Mobile Police Investigate a Homicide on Dauphin Street   On June 9, 2021, at 2:25 pm, Mobile Police Department responded to the South of Dauphin Apartments for a report of a male down.  Upon arrival officers found Laquintae Carroll 06/12/1999 inside of his apartment with apparent gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene. Homicide Detectives responded to begin their investigation, and more information can be released as it becomes available.  If anyone has information about this incident, Please call the Mobile Police Department at 208-7211.       Update:   Today Deonte Hughes 09/30/1995 turned himself in at police headquarters and was charged with Murder.   This press release was produced by the City of Mobile Police Department.
