Description
Looking for a female singer for Americana style music. I would love to put together a Crooked Still, Sarah Jarosz, Norah Jones, John Prine duo/trio. I have played many local gigs in the Eugene scene as the banjo and guitar player with the band Satori Bob for more than a decade and have collaborated on other groups, one of the most recent being a Tom Waits tribute band playing marimba, banjo and percussionhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C6ADtr5eMyE
I have a great space to practice in and would love to eventually get back into winery and small venue gigging.
I am interested in local and regional gigs and playing festivals etc... at least in the long term
but at this point want mostly to figure out a new sound in the short term and really just love to play.
Here are some samples of my music, I have been playing with Satori Bob for more than 10 years and between 40-60 gigs a year
at every venue locally and regionally from the Wow hall, Country Fair, Jazz station, lots of wineries, Axe and fiddle, etc... almost any venue you can name. John, the singer, is wanting to
do more recording and less gigging, so i am looking at alternatives. A search of Satori bob will give you lots of videos of our sound... here are a few... I am the banjo
player, but also play guitar and hand percussion and some back up singing although not my stong point. Other musicians that I have played with have also showed interest in a new group (especially the fiddle and bass player).
