Description

Experienced guitarist (playing for 30+ years) looking to jam/practice and, ideally, play out regularly. Able to learn songs quickly, know and can play dozens of songs proficiently and have a wide range of influences and music that I enjoy playing (see examples below). I'm NOT a shredder but can play leads of cover tunes pretty well, would say I'm a very competent rhythm guitarist. I have a few electric guitars and pedals, a Fender tube amp and a nice acoustic/electric guitar. I'm easy-going and reliable, enjoy drinking socially (beer mainly) but am not an all-night party animal (too old for that!) I also dabble in playing the harp but am far from proficient (e.g. can play a couple Petty tunes while playing guitar). I have a full time job and a family, but have time (and can make time as necessary) to make/play music regularly, jamming 1/week and playing out 2-3x/month, if possible, would be ideal. I'd also be up for filling in on a temporary basis if a guitarist can't make a gig(s), playing some open mics or being part of a trio or quartet... so many options. Please note my location, as driving 30 mins or more (for example) to rehearse might be a factor. Genres/bands I like the most are below, though this is FAR from a complete list. Hit me up if you want to discuss the possibilities. -Southern rock - Skynyrd, Allmans, Black Crowes, Molly Hatchet - Country - Zac Brown Band, Cody Jenks, Jason Aldean, Eric Church, Luke Combs, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson - Blues - ZZ top, Steve Ray Vaughn, Hendrix - Jam bands - Dead, JGB, Phish, Widespread Panic, Moe - Classic Rock - e.g. Tom Petty, Doobie Bros, Led Zep, Bad Co, Pearl Jam, Pink Floyd, Cheap Trick, The Who, Stones, Foo Fighters, Aerosmith, Van Halen, Bob Dylan, Beatles, AC/DC, STP, U2, Steve Miller, Springsteen... ( + many more, newer bands too)
