TMA is looking for a personable and trustworthy maintenance professional with prior experience to fill a vacant position. The ideal candidate will have full-time maintenance experience or experience in a related field and some type of formal training or handyman experience. Responsibilities of the Apartment Service Technician Position • Prepare vacant apartments for market ready status through turn-over repairs and improvements. • Demonstrate the ability to multitask and prioritize. • Perform all make-ready duties including but not limited to: painting, vinyl tile, punch-out & sheetrock repair and trash-outs. • Cleaning and maintenance of grounds, including common areas (to include pet feces) • Shovel snow in inclement weather. • Provide residents with outstanding customer service. • Other duties as assigned Requirements of the Apartment Service Technician Position • Full-time maintenance experience or experience in related field • Ability to work with personnel of all ethnic backgrounds • Some type of formal training or experience in the following areas: carpentry, light plumbing work, light electrical work, painting, refurbishing and cleaning, air conditioning. • Willingness to pitch in and work in areas other than strictly repair maintenance, i.e. janitorial, custodial, gardening, painting, etc. • Work in a physically challenging work conditions • Provide quality, professional service to residents • High School Diploma or equivalent • Basic computer skills • Written and oral communication skills • Ability to work with personnel of all ethnic backgrounds • Provide quality, professional service to residents • Have the ability to walk and climb stairs, twist, kneel, bend, sit for period of time and carry up to 75 lbs. on a daily basis • Work 9 AM to 6 PM daily, work Saturdays should the position require it. • Fly on an airplane if required for training or work. • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation • Bank account for direct deposit of payroll checks • Pass employment criminal and drug test screening Here are a few of the benefits TMA offers: • Medical, dental & vision Insurance • Apartment discount • Holidays & paid time off Equal Opportunity Employer EXPERIENCE PREFERRED
