The following opportunity, working out of Ardaman’s Bartow, FL office is available: GEOTECHNICAL LAB & FIELD TECHNICIAN Performs a series of preparatory processes and tests on samples of soil, rock, concrete, asphalt, and various other materials following established guidelines. Also, as needed, responsible for field sampling and testing of concrete and soils at construction sites. There will be occasional night and weekend work. The pay rate for this position is $15 - $22 per hour depending on experience, plus benefits. Qualifications: • At least 18 years old • One to three years’ experience in Construction Material Testing in laboratory (soil, aggregate and concrete) and field testing (earthwork and concrete) preferred but not required • ACI Certification and Radiation Safety - Nuclear Density Gauge training a plus • The ability to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. • The ability to perform mathematical calculations and write field reports • The ability to work weekends and extended hours as needed • The ability to walk up and down slopes and on uneven terrain • The ability to work outdoors in the heat for up to 8-12 hours per day • Willing to work on out of town assignments as required • Excellent driving record within company standards • Must be able to pass background screening requirements including criminal history, motor vehicle check, drug testing, physical, etc. • Local candidates only; no relocation We offer a comprehensive benefits program including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, paid time off, 401(k) with company match, and much more.
