Corvallis Housing First is hiring for a part time cleaner at the Van Buren House. 10-15 hours a week, with opportunity for more hours. Main location is an old sorority house with four floors. Duties: - Weekly floor cleaning, including sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping, on all levels of the house. - Clean and sanitize bathrooms at least 2x a week. This includes toilets, sinks, and showers, along with surfaces and floors. - Take out trash and recycling. - Communicate with office staff about issues or supplies needed. - Restock paper towels, toilet paper, cleaning products, and other supplies as needed. Requirements: - Demonstrated strength in interpersonal communication skills. - Attention to detail, ability to follow procedures, meet deadlines and work independently as well as cooperatively with team members as needed. - Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards. - Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. - Able to clean multiple floors of a 9,000+ sq. ft house. - Be able to pass a criminal background check. Not required but strongly preferred: - Experience working directly in support of clients, or experience of homelessness, mental illness, and poverty. - Ability and willingness to work collaboratively with low-income and multicultural populations. - Passion for supporting the efforts of providing housing and supportive services in the community.
