Working Cover Band Seeking Female Lead Singer/Front-Person

We are an established, working dance/party band with a great opportunity for an experienced female lead vocalist. About us: Our schedule is a good mix of weddings/private events, fests, and club/casino dates and the ideal candidate will have experience in all or most of those contexts. Our core group is 5 piece (lead voc., gtr, bass, keys/gtr, drums) and our bassist and keyboardist both sing background and occasional lead. Our repertoire reflects the variety of performances we do but primarily consists of top 40 style dance/party music from all decades, classic to current. We rehearse on the NW side in the Norwood Park area however we are a working band so once you’re up to speed rehearsals are minimal/as needed. What we’re looking for: Part-time ok but an overall professional entertainer/performer appearance and mindset is a must. Solid vocal skills (including some harmony), a high-energy/dynamic stage presence, versatile look, comfortable engaging with a variety of audiences and an overall fun, easygoing personality are all required. Ability to learn new material quickly and accurately along with experience in a variety of dance oriented styles including Rock, Motown, funk/R&B, Disco, 80’s, dance/pop, Modern Country, and the occasional power ballad. We are day job friendly but this is a professional level opportunity so reasonable flexibility along with evening and weekend availability is also a must. Please also be over 21.
