Orange County Solar, Inc. is hiring a lead roof solar installer to focus primarily on the work involved with installing solar panels on the roof. A strong roofing back-ground is desired, and willing and able to work on all types of roof(s): Clay tile, Light Tile, Concrete Tile, Composition Shingle, Flat roofs/torch-down, Metal roofs..etc..The "Lead Roof Solar Installer" will be responsible for direction a team of 2-3 individuals on the roof through every step of the solar panel installation on the roof, including but not limited to: Solar panel design/layout, pilot holes & penetrations, flashing/sealing, mounting rails, grounding & stringing the system and laying down modules. Must be EXPERIENCED, and driven, focused on helping the crew meet their daily installation requirements. Desired Qualities: - Comfortable working on roofs of all heights and different slopes/pitches. - Must be hard, driven worker, self-starter and able to critically think and problem solve. - Must be able to manage other roofing team members, and ensure quality work is being performed. - Must be able to carry at least 50 pounds, and comfortable going up and down a ladder several times per day. - Must be a quick learner, hard worker and driven. Great work ethic is rewarded financially. - Previous solar installation experience a huge plus. - Must have valid drivers license and be 18+ - Must Have reliable means of transportation to office or job-site - Must be available to work 630-4pm daily. Must be willing to work overtime. The Solar Roofer position will be responsible, and self-drive and a self-starter than can work on his own effectively and be confident in his work and abilities. Job Type: Full-time Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour + Benefits, Health insurance, 401k, Vacation
