Job Description Job Position: Warehouse Inventory Control Clerk The Inventory Control Clerk compiles and maintains records of quantity, type, and value of products, equipment, merchandise, or supplies stocked; attains maximum levels of profitability and competitive positioning while minimizing expenses. He/she is responsible for tracking levels of inventory with high degree of accuracy, assists with restocking supplies, maintains records, and reconciles inventory against system and other documents and resolves issues. Main Duties and Responsibilities: • Accurately controls and tracks physical inventory for official records. • Issues purchase work orders to generate product shipments. • Maintains status order through entire process checking actual inventory against computerized records. • Participates in inventory process and daily audits; research and reports inventory record discrepancies. • Maintains and manages accurate records of quality, type, and value of products, equipment, merchandise, and or supplies stocked. • Maintains shipping and receiving schedules. • Performs and oversees processing and routing of invoices. • Maintains and oversees back-order systems. • Maintains and oversees inventory database using inventory software to keep track of orders, returns and supply. • Performs required administrative tasks; prepares all required reports and correspondence. • Follows policies and procedures; completes administrative tasks correctly and on time; supports organization’s goals and values. • Prioritizes and plans work activities; uses time efficiently; plans for additional resources; sets goals and objectives. • Ensure safer and accurate completion of work activities. • Performs other duties as assigned or needed. Job Requirements: • Must be 18 years or older • High School Diploma/GED • Experience working in a warehouse setting. • Ability to work a flexible work schedule including weekends, and holidays required. • Ability to work with computers and software such as MS Office. • Excellent oral and written communications skills. • Ability to read and interpret inventory reports, and packing slips. • Ability to react well under pressure and accept responsibility for won actions. • Lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally. • Works well with others as a team and manages time efficiently. • Ability to do basic math skills. • Push and pull hand pallet jacks containing product of substantial weight Preferred Qualifications: • Warehouse and/or distribution experience • Previous inventory experience • Pallet Jack experience
