Our NEW Manchester location we will be unloading, stocking, selecting and loading product out to a grocery chain in the CT area. FHI associates will handle dry grocery and general merchandise for our customer. This position will be on second shift.?Performs all activities associated with unloading of trailers manually as well as with equipment.Unloads inbound trailers using powered industrial equipment such as electric pallet jacks, forklifts, dock stockers to remove product from trailers.Breaks down product according to requirements specified in the warehouse data management system.Secures product by using shrink wrap or tape.Pallets may also need to be physically broken down and/or cases restacked onto new pallets.Work is performed in a warehouse setting and is physically demanding.Performs duties safely and efficiently while working in a fast-paced environment. Ensures that operations are aligned and performed to achieve production and safety goals.Performs all job tasks assigned by the leadership staff to achieve and maintain daily productivity and quality goals.This position is designated as safety sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required.Equipment training is provided.?QualificationsPrior experience as a warehouse associate is preferred.Experience working in a warehouse environment (e.g., order selector/picking product storage, product staging, powered pallet jack/forklifts, etc.)Working with racking systems and loading/unloading pallets (e.g., pulling and placing pallets on/off vertical product racking systems and trucks, maximizing storage by stacking products vertically, etc.)Good verbal/written communication skillsWillingness to work the required schedule.Ability to speak and write English for effective communication.Basic math skills.Attention to detail and ability to follow directions.Interact respectfully and courteously with associates, co-workers, management, and customers.Ability to work in a team environment.Working conditionsWarehouse environment with extreme heat and cold temperatures.Physical requirementsAbility to lift, walk, bend, twist, reach, push and squat most of the workday.Handle cases weighing from 25 to 95 pounds and can expect to handle between 50 and 200+ pallets on any given day.
