Meet us under a rainbow of movement, intention, alignment and music...Pride is back at Space Park! Pride started as a protest, a riot. Individuals put their lives at risk in hopes of creating a safe place to be with friends, enjoy music, and express love ❤️. These are human rights by our standards. Sadly, decades later the fight is far from over for many individuals and communities who still suffer oppression, discrimination and violence through systems and individuals. In many cases black and brown communities continue to fight, and suffer, disproportionately. We have made strides towards equality, but have leaps and bounds to go. As we vow to keep fighting, we also choose to 🏳️‍🌈 CELEBRATE 🏳️‍🌈 the vast and boundless possibilities of love. This month, we'll come together in honor of the fight for equality with JOY. Sometimes practicing joy is the greatest act of resistance. Let's raise our spirits in honor of those who fought before us, as we feel in our community the possibility of tomorrow, while living FULL OUT in today. We begin our salute of the LGBTQ+ movement, by moving our own bodies through yoga led by Julianne with Lucaz on the decks , or through Skybeat Dance Fitness with Skyler Rogers. Then we sweat in the name of love with OG local legend Mystic Bill, as MC Carlos DelaPlaya guides us deeper and deeper into the ether. We shake 💃🏻 in honor of our individuality, our collective power, and spirits... We’ll have ✨ tarot readings from Dennis Hunter throughout the morning, and when we’ve danced it all out, he’ll guide us through a communal closing ceremony. As we feel the burn, we'll keep levels up with clean guayusa leaf energy 🌱 in our favorite beverages from RUNA.
