Description
Our research group at the City University of New York is conducting an experiment and need paid volunteers! Compensation is $30 / hour for 3-4 hours total. This is a two-part study with the sessions spaced two weeks apart, you must attend both sessions, or else the data is unusable, and our efforts are wasted.
The objective of the study is to determine the efficacy of a new form of brain stimulation that uses safe levels of near-infrared light to increase energy metabolism in the brain. The experiments involve lying down in an MRI scanner and receiving brain stimulation with a laser directed at the forehead. The stimulation is safe, free of any sensation, and has virtually no adverse effects. The MRI scans will take place in the NYU Center for Biomedical Imaging in Murray Hill.
