This special show will feature a night of Roots Rock material including, originals, Blues, and select songs from The Band repertoire that Louie learned directly from The Band and songs he helped create with them including their comeback hits Atlantic City, Blind Willie McTell, the show will present a diverse set list from this stellar roots crew. Professor Louie & The Crowmatix have 15 studio CD’s on The Woodstock Records Label and have consistently stayed on the RMR Contemporary Charts in the top 50 for the past twenty years. They have been inducted in The New York State Blues Hall of Fame; hold a permanent place in The Canada South Blues Museum. Recipients of the Robert H. Chambers Award for Excellence in the Traditional Arts from Common Ground On The Hill in MD, Professor Louie & The Crowmatix has emerged in the music industry as the torchbearer of the true spirit of American Roots Music. Louie collaborating with The Band for over fifteen years – Co-producing the Band’s last three CD’s in the 90’s. ~ The Crowmatix Professor Louie (keys-accordion,vocals) collaborated with The Band 17 years. John Platania (guitar-vocals) great performances with Van Morrison. Gary Burke (drums) performed with Bob Dylan’s The Rolling Thunder Review.
