Shichida Sake Tasting (Seated with food pairings) with the Sakeman Wing Hop Fung and the Sakeman invite you to a casual seated Shichida sake and food pairing event!  Shichida is an artisanal sake brand from Japan's Saga prefecture that has been gaining traction among aficionados for its packed-with-umami flavors.  Mr. Kensuke Shichida leads a brewing process that creates a complex, characterful sake. He combines two types of sake rice, a classic and local strain, along with his own proprietary yeast which gives his Shichida sakes a unique and delicious taste. He's receiving well-deserved accolades for his product. In 2017, two of his sakes, the junmai and the junmai ginjo, made the top-ten list in the Paris KuraMaster competition with 550 sakes entered!  That same year he also won the President's Award for Top Brewer!  And...Intro to The SAKEMAN Shichida san isn't the only one  responsible for creating these excellent, umami-filled sakes. Shichida was also inspired by SAKEMAN! A team of luchador mask-wearing sake superheroes that want to "bring Sake to the World." They help spread sake joy wherever they go by donning their signature masks and introducing more people to this wonderful brew. Catch them on social media @gosakeman!             During the event, we are lucky that we will have Nick from Sakeman who will introduce you to a range of Shichida's distinct and delicious sakes. He'll also be giving you food-pairing tips and the tasting will be accompanied by several delicious Non-Japanese food bites prepared by Little Gem. The bar offers weekly wine flights, wines by the glass, beers, and hosts numerous events.
