Continuing tips on how to survive litigating families in a post-pandemic world... Welcome back to a place many find SCARY....but shouldn't, the Family Courts! If you're working with people, you're working with parents and children. This means you too may become involved in a court-connected issue. This year we return to the courthouse to discuss coping with pandemic terror in and out of court, and the true horrors of human trafficking that our licensing boards want us all to be more aware of. As an added bonus, for Halloween we are having a COSTUME CONTEST! Come in your best Trick-or-Treating getup to win a free registration to an upcoming seminar and other interesting prizes! We can finally see each other again in person, why not have the most fun with it we can! Please remember, we will be inside a secure facility, bucaneers may want to leave their pistols and swords at home! The North Texas FIT (Families in Transition) Professionals are licensed professionals who practice in Collin, Denton, Dallas, and Tarrant Counties and the surrounding areas who are committed to supporting families in transition and supporting diverse interventions available for assisting these families. Members must be open minded to a variety of options for these families, practice in North Texas, and regularly attend group meetings. Our members specialize in working with families dealing with separation, divorce, co-parenting, and other situations where families are raising children between two homes. The group includes mental health professionals, mediators, educators, and other support providers.
