We are looking for a highly-motivated, reliable, and congenial worker to assist us with ongoing property maintenance and improvements at our home in Aromas. The property is a little over two and a half acres. It contains a nice little home orchard with a wide variety of young fruit trees. We're passionate about our gardening and enjoy creating attractive settings within a somewhat sumptuously planted landscape. This passion has created a maintenance challenge which is beyond our capabilities without a helping hand or two. We're seeking someone who shares a similar enthusiasm for nurturing the land, creating beauty, promoting a bountiful harvest, and helping with home improvements and repair. Experience using gardening equipment and power tools is an asset. Knowledge of pruning techniques and plant care would be a big plus. We will provide a wealth of training in gardening and home-maintenance procedures. We offer this position as either full or part-time. Hopefully, our new property assistant will enjoy the adoring company of our little dogs. Occasional assistance with their brushing and general grooming would also be appreciated. Of course, we'll be happy to give you lots of in-service training in pampering these furry little munchkins. Over the years, many of our esteemed workers have seemed to immensely enjoy working with us in this beautiful setting. Rewarding friendships have evolved as we apply creative team effort to nurturing the land. Regrettably, due to limited finances in our retirement, we must set the initial compensation at $13. per hour, while we orient you to the tasks at hand in order to determine if this job is a good fit for your skills. Your compensation will be reassessed as you demonstrate your skills and compatibility. We'll need someone who can speak English. Occasionally, some heavy lifting may be required.
