JUNETEENTH IS A HOLIDAY RECOGNIZED BY MANY STATES AS “FREEDOM DAY” . JUNETEENTH IS THE DAY THAT WE ARE RECOGNIZING OUR GOD GIVEN FREEDOM. Juneteenth is a holiday recognized by many states as “Freedom Day”. Juneteenth is a day that we're recognizing God's ability to set you free no matter what the circumstances may be. During this event we commemorate the African American Ancestors who were freed from slavery by God using President Abraham Lincoln on Jan.1, 1863 to write the Emancipation Proclamation in which Initiated his attempt to free the country of slavery from all rebelling states. However, the completion of this attempt happened 2 1/2 years later when the last of the slaves in Texas got the word that they had been freed (June 19, 1865). We now call this day Juneteenth. This day previously was only celebrated as an African American holiday. However, it has expanded to all humanity due to the God- Given-Enlightenment on the subject of what slavery actually is & who our enemy truly is. God's purpose to free the oppressed had come to pass. This celebration is one to remember.
