Blue Blaze Brewing invites you to participate in our Blue Blaze Hiking Club! New members are always welcome. NEW: Starting April 10th: In an effort to provide quality hikes in an intimate and low impact manner, as well as maintain COVID safe numbers, we will be charging $5 for participating and limiting our group size. Tickets will go on sale on APRIL 10TH and must be purchased ahead of time. You will not be able to pay at the trailhead. A Meetup/Facebook RSVP does not reserve your spot. Sales end at midnight the day before the hike. Tickets can be fully refunded up until midnight the day before the hike. Be sure to social distance and bring your mask for pre and post-hike conversation back at Blue Blaze taproom. ABOUT THE HIKE: This week we will be hiking the Seven Oaks Preserve Trail, a segment of the Carolina Thread Trail. The hike is about 5.5 miles and winds along the shore of Lake Wylie as well as through some of Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden's trail system. This hike is rated as moderate. There is little elevation change, but rocky and rooty terrain. We will start at the Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden parking lot. There is no fee to park here, only if you choose to stay and explore their beautiful facilities afterwards. Bring PLENTY of water and snacks, we will plan to take a break during the hike. After the hike, we will enjoy a refreshing Blue Blaze brew back at our taproom. A local food truck will be on-site to satisfy your hiker's hunger! All participants can partake in a free raffle for some awesome Blue Blaze goodies. Folks of all ages and most skill levels are welcome to join us. Leashed dogs can come along too! Hikes will be led by avid hiker, runner, and backpacker, Emily Medvedeff. GPS LOCATION: Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden, park in the back corner of their main parking area. 6500 S New Hope Rd, Belmont, NC 28012 Upon arrival look for the Blue Blaze Banner! WEATHER STATEMENT: Hikes are not canceled due to rain. If there is severe weather, hikes will be canceled by 8am the morning of, and hikers will be reimbursed in full. Brewers with a hiking problem.  Blue Blaze Brewing offers fresh, full-flavored beer brewed locally in small, artisan handcrafted batches using the freshest ingredients. We will use pesticide-free, locally-sourced ingredients, whenever available.
