A Professional Development Workshop for Elementary School Educators Summer 2021 K - 2 teachers - Thursday July 1 or Tuesday August 10, 9 am - 12.30 pm Grade 3 - 5 teachers - Tuesday July 6 or Thursday August 12, 9 am - 12.30 pm We recognize and appreciate the extraordinary work of teachers through these challenging times and want to support you in your efforts to provide the best learning experience for your students. The visual arts can be a great tool to enhance and reinforce any subject matter and promote Social Emotional Learning. In these workshops, you will: Learn a variety of methods to easily integrate the visual arts into your curriculum.Learn how the visual arts can develop Social Emotional Learning.Complete ‘Elementary school’ art projects guided by professional artists. Have fun and meet teachers from other schools!Workshops are open to Elementary School teachers and administrators working in school districts and private schools throughout Ventura County. Each workshop is limited to twenty participants. Early registration is advised. When? A $20 donation is requested to cover material supplies and to secure your place in the workshop. SciArt, a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization, includes more than thirty artists in residence, and hundreds of artist members. SciArt partners with professional artists to offer a wide variety of programs and hands-on art experiences to our community.
