Commercial Vehicle Impaired Driving Enforcement Commercial vehicles account for more than half of the vehicles on our roadways yet are seldom stopped by law enforcement. Commercial vehicle-involved crashes are on the rise and account for more than 14% of vehicle fatalities in the US. In 2020 four times the number of commercial vehicles was manufactured than passenger cars. Impaired driving continues to under enforced in the commercial sector. This training will give officers the tools needed to identify drug and/or alcohol impaired drivers they come into contact with.
