Adam Clark is an alumni of the ASU and MCC schools of music studying Latin, African and jazz performance.Since 1995 (at the age of 17), Clark has been a professional musician and, starting in 1999, has led his live working band full time as well as working for hundreds of band leaders as a sideman.Adam has worked with jazz legends Stanley Jordan (internationally), David “Fathead” Newman, Papa John DeFrancesco, Marshall Hawkins, Doug Webb and accordion master Frank Marocco, as well as popular artists Lenny Castro, Casey Abrams, Rachel Flowers, Jimmy Vivino and gospel legend Andrew Gouche. He has been heard as the opening act for Blues Traveler, Joey DeFrancesco and Alice Cooper. As a band leader Clark’s groups have played most of the major festivals in the Phoenix area from 2002-2012, as well as noted festivals in California including the California Jazz and Wine Festival 3 years in a row and counting.Locally, Adam Clark has worked almost every major resort, festival and top music venue in the Phoenix metropolitan area. He has been the drummer for many local legends including Raul Yanez, Nick Manson, DJ Radar, Nicole Pesce, Dennis Rowland and Arizona Blues Hall of Fame inductees Walt Richardson, Margo Reed, Hans Olsen, Francine Reed, Mike Howard and the Bad News Blues Band.
