The Ludington Area Center for the Arts and Ludrock present Bradford Loomis LIVE in concert Saturday, July 17.
Nashville recording artist Braford Loomis will take the stage at the Ludington Area Center for the Arts Saturday, July 17.
Loomis has cultivated a songwriting style driven by characters and stories. Sonically, he said his music contains hints of several genres to create something he believes is unique.
“I call it rhythm and roots,” Loomis said. “It’s kind of an amalgamation of Americana and folk music, but it’s very narrative driven and there’s elements of R&B and soul music in there, too.”
With frequent comparisons to Bruce Springsteen, Tom Waits and Chris Stapleton, Loomis sings rustic songs filled with colorful characters.
“It’s really predicated on telling stories, both in songs and between songs,” he said. “I tend to sing from the point of view of the person who’s telling the story. They’re not necessarily autobographical songs, but it’s kind of like that.”
Tickets to this indoor limited seating concert (only 150 tickets will be sold) are just $10 in advance or $15 at the door.
This is a BYOB event, however water will be sold onsite.
The Ludington Area Center for the Arts is located at 107 S. Harrison St. in beautiful downtown Ludington.
