PEP Housing currently has an opening for a Residential Apartment Rehab Technician to do various maintenance tasks. Technicians will respond to maintenance repair requests and prepare vacant units in preparation for new resident move-ins, while delivering excellent customer service and quality workmanship. What will you do in this role? Apartment vacancy rehabs, including cleaning units. Maintenance repairs of properties, including common areas and occupied and vacant units. Maintain PEP's standards in the maintenance of its properties, apartments and common areas. Repair and/or maintain electrical, plumbing, painting, carpentry and building exteriors and interiors. Move and install large appliances. Repair or replace sinks, toilets, faucets, light fixtures, screens, etc. Complete work order logs. Organize and clean work areas, as well as work vehicle and shop. The individual in this position will perform on-call duties-- two (2) weeks on and six (6) weeks off)--in response to after-hour emergencies; will include weekends and may include holidays. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation is needed. What can you bring to the role? Effectively communicate with supervisors and co-workers. General knowledge of electrical, plumbing, painting, power-washing, exterior and interior repairs. Attention to detail. Time management and organizational skills required to get the job done effectively and efficiently. Experience in the use of various types of hand tools. What is required? Must be able to climb ladders, work on your knees, lift up to 50 pounds, bend and twist; this is a highly physical job and technicians are constantly on the move! Building and property maintenance experience is preferred. Be at work on time and ready to go every day—positive attitude in place. Have passion for what you do. Basic computer knowledge. Ability to work well alone and within a team setting. Responsible, organized, ambitious, clean, passionate, and willing to work! High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver’s license and dependable vehicle. Solid benefits package. Work hours are Monday - Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm.
