We’re seeking a housekeeper to support our family of four in Mill Valley—we live five minutes from Tam Junction. We are looking to establish a long-term relationship with a loving, organized, bilingual (Spanish), and talented individual who enjoys instructing children, cooking healthy meals, and maintaining a tidy household. About our family 👨‍👩‍👦‍👦 We are a family that loves to spend time outdoors enjoying nature with our kids. We're health-oriented, get lots of exercise, and eat healthy foods and meals. Our home tends to be more organized and tidy than your average residence and our boys have been educated in a Montessori environment. Following this, we’re looking for a housekeeper that can take care of our home and teach our children to take care of it too … we’d rather have you teach them to clean up their toys than have you do it for them 💪 We live on a dead-end street that’s tucked into the woods. We have lovely neighbors on either side and they each have two kids that are close in age to own kids. They all go to the same school just down the hill. As parents, we have very demanding professional lives and our time with our kids is precious to us. Your help will allow us to make the most of our time with the kids at the end of the day. We’ve been incredibly grateful for, and fortunate to have, some wonderful support in the past and it’s really made a huge impact in our lives. Hours & Daily Routine 🕐 A typical day will involve coming to our home mid-day to conduct housekeeping activities such as house cleaning, light gardening, laundry, food shopping, meal planning/preparation, and help with other house projects. At around 2:30 our older boy needs to be picked up from Tam Valley School (5 minutes from our house) and brought to afterschool activities such as Akido, soccer, dance class, etc. Some days, you’ll bring him to playdates with friends. On the days that he comes home from school, you’ll work with him to complete his homework and pursue other educational activities such as piano, reading, and math. At around 4:30 or 5 pm, our older boy can have some playtime with our neighbors and entertain himself outside and in the woods behind our house. Most days one of us will pick up our younger boy from school on our way home but on occasion, you may be asked to pick him up. His school is 10 minutes away. At around 5:15 you’ll start preparing dinner for the family. We typically make enough dinner to have leftovers for lunches the next day. Once dinner is served and kitchen cleanup is complete, you’ll be free to head out for the evening. During the summer, our schedule may be a little different week to week as our older boy attends different camps.
