Someone took 3 feral kittens from their mother at 4-5 weeks and raised them for a week on a mix of formula and wet and dry kitten food. Or something. After 1 week, they came to us, and we were told they were done with formula and healthy and can use a litter box.
These kittens have had diarrhea the entire 48 hours we have had them. At the very least they have tapeworm. One has yellow diarrhea. They all have flea dirt and scratch. Two have some kind of eye discharge that has spread to my dog. THESE CUTE BLACK KITTENS NEED VETERINARY CARE. They are finally using the litter box most of the time.
They are 5-6 weeks old based on their behavior. Playful, can use claws, etc. They weighed 17, 19, and 21 ounces when we got them. They drink water and eat food fine.
The vet said go to Forgotten Feline. I tried Forgotten Feline. These kittens are too small, they said they can't help us after a long conversation. They referred us to the local rescue, who hasn't gotten back to us. The person who gave them to us referred us to the county. The county euthanizes. The person who gave them to us suggested the Humane Society. They do not accept kittens from within city boundaries. They will refer us to animal control. Animal control euthanizes.
I thought I was taking kittens that just needed normal foster care and lots of attention. I cannot afford the vet bill. The Craigslist person I got them from doesn't have the time for them and is taking them back in the morning.
