Description
I'm a singer/songwriter/guitarist who moved out to Los Angeles years ago (many years ago - I'm 50+) to pursue a music career, which never actually panned out. I lived the pay-to-play club scene, wrote a lot of songs and had some good times but at some point you realize that things aren't going to turn out the way you wanted.
Before getting out though, I did record and album's worth of songs that I've recently dusted off and began to play again. The pandemic also prompted me to pull out my guitar and start to sing again - and even start writing a few new songs.
To make a long story short, I've decided that I want to have some fun again, and maybe do some good at the same time. The emphasis is on "have fun", I'm well past the age of chasing a music career. I'm looking for some band mates who also want to have some fun playing these songs and some new ones, maybe a few covers as well. I'm not looking to start a cover band and book gigs every week.
I'd also like to pursue the idea that I had (which started as a joke) when I first discovered Distrokid and published a few of the old songs on Spotify - to create a mockumentary about a mystery regarding the band from its time in LA. It's still a joke, of course, but it strikes me that maybe it's also an opportunity to do some good for folks that have been hammered by lockdowns.
So if you're interested in having some fun playing some original tunes, maybe a few fun gigs and you're in the East Bay let me know.

Not all of the songs from the recording session are on Spotify, but you can hear a couple more of them on Soundcloud here:
