Description

POLK COUNTY, FL — Following an early morning crash investigation, emergency officials moved their vehicles out of the I-4 westbound lanes near the Polk County/Hillsborough County line just before 9 a.m. Thursday. Traffic got back to normal speed late morning. Original Patch Story: Drivers can expect big delays both westbound and eastbound on Interstate-4 due to a crash blocking two lanes on I-4 westbound at the Polk/Hillsborough County line. Westbound delays begin in Polk just after Kathleen Road, according to the FL511 map. Rubberneckers are causing tie-ups on the eastbound side, Total Traffic Network told Patch. Traffic cameras show that EMS and Fire Rescue along with Florida Highway Patrol is at the crash location. Patch will keep you updated on when the crash is cleaned up. A crash on I-4 westbound has caused the morning commute from Polk into Hillsborough to be extra slow Thursday morning. (FL511 Camera)
