WAUWATOSA, WI — The Wauwatosa Police and Fire Commission, tasked with finding a new police chief for the city, will host virtual public interviews with the finalists for the position on Monday.
The interviews are hosted through Zoom and will start on Monday at 5 p.m. The commission said that each candidate will answer the same questions and some questions were provided by the public. The city plans to stream the interviews.
"After the virtual public interviews, the Police and Fire Commission invites the public to complete a survey to provide feedback on the candidates," the city said. This survey will be open until June 16 at 12:00 pm.
The commission will hold its final interviews during the week of June 21 and make a hiring decision afterward.
Members of the public can view the interviews through Zoom. An account is not required to attend virtually.
The finalist candidates for Wauwatosa Police Chief are:
James MacGillisJeffrey NormanDavid Salazar These candidates were named last Thursday. All three candidates have been involved in the Milwaukee Police Department. Norman is the current acting police chief in Milwaukee while the city mediates with its old chief, Alfonso Morales.
