WAUKESHA, WI—The City of Waukesha is showing appreciation to those who provided services and kept people safe during the pandemic.
A special concert will be held as a tribute to military members, first responders, front line workers, and educators, according to the city.
The City of Waukesha Parks, Recreation & Forestry Department announced Tribute Tuesday: Extra Edition will take place at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 29 in Cutler Park. at the Les Paul Performance Center in Cutler Park, 321 Wisconsin Ave.
The concert will be headlined by Cover Fire, a 10-member rock band with the 132nd Army Band of the Wisconsin National Guard.
The 132nd Army Band of the Wisconsin National Guard is a descendant of the Army Guard's famed 32nd "Red Arrow" Division band of WWI and WWII.
The band has played honors for the President of the United States, helped commission the battleship USS Wisconsin, and entertained audiences from Wisconsin to Australia to Germany.
Concessions will open at 5:30 p.m. Carry-ins of alcohol are not allowed, and city ordinance prohibits dogs in the park.
