The job will consist of providing top of the line customer service while delivering materials to our customers. This position will work closely with our branch staff members and delivery teams in order to maintain the effectiveness and efficiency of our day-to-day deliveries. Most of the job will consist of pulling orders and staging for delivery; loading and unloading drywall from trucks; and keep yard and warehouse clean. The successful candidate will also possess a customer service driven attitude and mentality as well as being a self-starter who possess a sense of project ownership and follow-through. With obtaining a CDL license stocking positions can lead to driving opportunities. JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Required: - High school Diploma or equivalent - 1 -- 2 years of customer service experience - Or an equivalent combination of the two - Basic computer and math skills - Ability to lift up to 75 pounds frequently - Demonstrated time management and planning - Strong verbal communication skills - Excellent listening skills - Ability to work as part of a team - High level of integrity and work ethic Preferred: - Construction industry experience and knowledge - Forklift operation - Bilingual English/Spanish JOB DUTIES: -Work with team to ensure the proper loading and unloading of trucks. -Unloading and stocking at the job site either by BOOM, carts, forklift or by hand. -Represent Steeler with a high level of customer service upon arrival at jobsite. -Build, maintain, and develop lasting customer relationships in order to add-value to our product sales. -Pull orders and stage for delivery. -Ensure vehicles are locked and inside the yard at the end of every day. -Keep yard and warehouse clean and organized. -Stock drywall and maintain inventory levels. -Operate a forklift to assist in the loading and unloading of trucks. -Knowing and following all home branch rules and policies. -Adhering to all Steeler and OSHA safety standards while in the branch and on-site.
