The Ridgefield Thrift Shop is seeking summer interns looking to gain valuable experience. We are seeking enthusiastic, self-motivated, and hard-working recent high school graduates and college students on summer break looking to give back and gain valuable work experience.
The Ridgefield Thrift Shop is a non-profit that is run by volunteers, so this is an unpaid internship. We are seeking two interns on a part-time basis 20 hours a week. Marketing, Auction, and Vintage Intern: This is a 20 hour a week position where the past meets the future. Using auction software our summer intern will learn all the details of how to run an online auction using our Auction Ninja software. Starting with researching the new and vintage items, listing, photographing, sorting the listings, managing the inventory, and pick up by the auction winners. Marketing is critical so they would also be responsible for managing the social media and marketing communications related to the auction.
Back Door to Front Door Intern: This position is also a 20 hour a week position and will focus on the acquisition of donated items, sorting, pricing, sales, store management, online marketing, and displays. They will learn the day-to-day activities of RTS and assist in all aspects of running the store.
