Reports to: Commercial Electrical Trainee FLSA Status: Non-exempt Compensation: TBD and dependent on experience Purpose: Seeking Commercial Electrical Trainee to complete contracted work in the field. This position is under daily supervision of the job site foreman in the field and reports to Electrical Project Manager. Applicants must be reliable and willing to learn in a fast-paced environment. Millcreek is looking for Commercial Electrical Trainee interested in making the electrical trade their career, by beginning California Electrical Trainee schooling and certification. Electrical apprentices are able to earn a paycheck while learning the trade through firsthand experience. Applicant must follow all quality, safety and efficiency protocols. Verifiable experience in commercial electrical work is preferred. Candidates should be highly motivated, dedicated and career oriented. Our Commercial Electrical Trainee are expected to work with the rest of the Millcreek Team and champion our Core Values of: • Integrity - Conducting business consistent with our words and beliefs • Teamwork – Believing that it takes every member of the team to be successful • Openness - Maintaining an environment where ideas can be shared • Quality – Delivering quality consistently Position Details: • The Commercial Electrical Trainee is partnered with a licensed journeyman electrician and has on-the-job training (OJT) to become an electrician. • The Commercial Electrical Trainee helps to perform electrical work in commercial construction settings. • Learn and perform all scopes of large-scale projects, from slab-on-grade to rough in and trim. • Opportunity to Participate in official apprenticeship program and attend classes as required. • Millcreek Electrical reimburses the cost of classes and textbooks for any successfully completed WECA training course that is completed while you are an employee at Millcreek Electrical. Required Specific Skills: • Prolonged walking, standing and climbing ladders. • Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. while using appropriate lifting techniques and following all safety rules. • Excellent Oral and written communication skills • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment. • Able to problem solve and prioritize tasks • Excellent communication skills • Consistently on-time • Always have a clean and neat appearance and understand the importance of maintaining a professional demeanor.
