Job description The Coordinator of Resident Services, a valued member of the administrative team working 30-35 hrs/wk, is responsible for the ongoing daily routine and the successful adjustment of the families living at St. Mary’s. S/He is accountable for monitoring the resident needs, providing a channel for communication with the residents, and assuring that the facility is maintained in a clean and orderly fashion. This position is vital for the ongoing success of the shelter. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Monitors the day to day activity of the residents of the shelter to assure that the house rules are observed and the residents are progressing toward independence. - Maintains and enforces all safety and security procedures in a respectful manner. - Enlists residents and maintains census to the best of his/her ability. - Responds to all requests for housing in a timely fashion - Schedules and conducts intakes including all paperwork and drug tests. - Explains and monitors policies and procedures as found in the resident handbook. - Conducts monthly house meetings and advises residents on facility upkeep and house rules. - Mediates minor issues and conflicts and reports any violations to the team. - Assists Case-Manager in case plan implementation and other needs. - Works with other service agencies to provide needed resources. - Provides residents with information on location and nature of available community and other needed services. - Keeps records and prepares reports for the supervisor and case management team. REPRESENTATIVE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES - Genuine concern for the homeless and sensitivity to their needs. - Personal flexibility and good problem solving skills - Experience working with homeless persons, including persons with history of addiction and those with mental health issues - Household management experience helpful - Accept and perform tasks as designated - Bachelor’s degree in Social Service preferred or equivalent experience in a related field. https://stmarysfs.org/about-us...
